about

This song is about LOVE. The beginning of LOVE.Those feelings you get when you first connect with someone. The feeling that everything is possible and exciting. That there is complete trust in a person and that it will last forever. That they are just perfect and are perfect for you. I hadn’t written a song like this before. Not because I hadn't felt this way because of course I had. But I had never stopped and thought about those emotions when and as I was feeling them. So I went back there in my mind for the first time with this song and relived the joy of being with someone and something new. I had always just kind of gotten swept away by happiness when I was happy but at the end of a relationship I found it easier to kind of wallow in sadness and pour out my feelings to paper. So for that reason I've written a lot of sad songs. But I now have a different relationship with songwriting. It doesn't just have to be a cathartic release. On this record I'm now talking about different emotions including the good ones. So this was the beginning of a kind of a breakthrough in my writing.

lyrics

I never thought I was beautiful
Until you said it was true
I’ll never forget the moments we spent
Trying to build something new
I never understood perfect
Until I’m lying with you
I never felt like I really belonged
Until that moment I knew

I will be with you

Never before and
Never after and
Everything else has been a disaster
Never too close and
Never too far
From losing myself
But then
There you are
Inside me
Until the twelfth of never

I never ever doubted
A single word that you said
Never have I tried so hard to
Make us feel different
Never have I ever seen
Such a wonderful beautiful face
I feel so lucky now
With you around the place

I will be with you

I love you a little too much
So much that I can’t breathe
I’m scared to let you go
Never want you to leave
