This is about moving to another country and facing the challenge of keeping close relationships going. Which was and still is difficult. Social media certainly didn’t help me in the first few months of being away. It kind of distorts things to others to give the impression that they didn’t matter as much anymore and that you're just having a great time without them. Even with things like FaceTime it still isn’t the same as being with people face to face and hanging out on a regular basis. So this is about making that adjustment which is still ongoing. I was feeling like I was losing my share of love with the people that mattered the most to me. With so much distance between you, how do you maintain your important relationships??
